About Dr. Mitola D.D.S.

   
Dr. Mitola was born and raised in the capital district, graduating from Shenendehowa High School. He graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in 1999 and Member of the Cohoes Rotary Club and the Business Council of Cohoes.  Professionally, he is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, the Third District Dental Society, Troy Study Club, Special Care Dentistry Association, and the Capital District Continuum for Advanced Dental Education.earned his D.D.S. from the University of Maryland Dental School in 2005. Dr. Mitola studied as a research associate at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Mitola completed a fellowship in geriatric dentistry at the University of Maryland in 2006, and served as a staff dentist at the Veterans Administration (VA) hospital in Baltimore, MD in 2006-07. Dr. Mitola also treated patients in private practice in Maryland since 2005, but always knew he wanted to return home. He purchased his dental practice in Cohoes from longtime family friend
Dr. Robert Frazier in 2009.

Dr. Mitola lives in Clifton Park with his wife Andrea, daughter Abby and son Lucas. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Mitola enjoys spending time with his family. Locally, he is a member and past president of the Cohoes Rotary Club, serves as a board member for the Cohoes Community Center and the Cohoes IDA. Professionally, he is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, President of the Troy Dental Study Club, executive committee member and peer review committee member for the Third District Dental Society.
